Program terms

The short version

1. About these terms

profit.social runs paid creator campaigns for app makers, and a community where creators share what works. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of profit.social ("we", "us"). They apply when you create an account, join the community or take part in a campaign.

Each campaign is run for a brand, which we call the Promoter. Before you earn on a campaign, you sign a separate creator agreement for it. That agreement covers the videos you make for that campaign: who owns them, how they may be used, and what you are paid for them. Where the creator agreement and these terms differ on those subjects, the creator agreement wins.

How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

2. Who can join

A community account does not by itself let you earn. Earning on a campaign starts once we approve you for it and you have signed its creator agreement.

3. Your account

There are no passwords. You sign in with a link we email to you, and your session lasts until you sign out or it expires. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your email account secure. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including posts, messages and changes to your payout details.

4. How campaigns work

Each campaign page shows what the Promoter is looking for, the rate paid per 1,000 views, the holding period and the minimum payout. You get a personal tracking link and a referral code.

You decide whether to post, what to post and how often. There is no minimum amount of content. In the same way, no amount of earnings is promised. A campaign can be paused, changed or ended. Any rate change applies only to views that come in after it, never to views you have already earned on.

Your agreement about campaign videos is with the Promoter, made through us. We run the program on the Promoter's behalf: we measure views, keep the records and pay creators.

5. How views are measured

You connect your own TikTok account, and we read the view counts of your campaign videos from it. That figure is what you are paid on, because it comes from the platform and not from our own estimate.

Platforms sometimes revise their counts, remove views they decide were not genuine, or are briefly unavailable. When that happens we follow the platform's corrected figure. Your dashboard shows what has built up, what is still being held and what has been paid. You can ask us for a statement at any time.

If we have good reason to believe views were not genuine, for example because they were bought, came from bots or came from incentivised traffic, those views do not count.

6. Getting paid

7. Taxes and your status

You take part as an independent creator. Nothing in these terms makes you an employee, worker, partner or agent of ours or of any Promoter. You are responsible for any tax and social contributions due on what you earn where you live. You agree to give us the tax information we reasonably need to pay you, and that the law may require us to report.

8. Referrals

If someone joins with your referral code, you may earn a share of what is earned on views of their videos, at the published rates and down to the published number of levels. Their own earnings are never reduced to pay you.

Nobody is paid for signing someone up, no fee is collected from anyone, and referral earnings exist only while the people you referred produce genuine views. Do not describe the program to anyone as an investment, as passive income or as a way to earn by recruiting.

9. Rules for campaign content

10. Fair play

The following end your right to be paid for the affected content and can end your account:

11. The community

The community is for members. Posts, comments and profiles can be seen only by people who are signed in. The leaderboard, which shows handles, points and levels, can be seen by anyone.

Be the kind of member you would want next to you. In particular, do not:

You can block any member. A member you block cannot message you.

Points and levels reward real activity. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be corrected if they were earned by gaming the system.

12. Who owns what

Campaign videos are governed by the creator agreement for that campaign, as explained in section 1.

Your community posts, comments, images and profile stay yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and adapt them (for example, resizing an image) so that we can run the community and show them to members. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. It does not cover copies other members have already quoted, or copies we must keep for a legal reason. We will not use your community posts in advertising without asking you first.

The profit.social name, site and software belong to us. Using the service does not give you any rights in them.

13. Reports, moderation and appeals

Every post, comment and message has a report option. You can also write to us about anything you think is illegal or breaks these terms, including copyright complaints. Tell us where it is and why.

We review reports and may remove content, limit what an account can do, or suspend it. Unless the law or someone's safety prevents it, we will tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that message or write to us, and someone who was not involved in the first decision will look at it again.

14. Availability and liability

We work to keep profit.social running and accurate, but we provide it as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We also depend on platforms such as TikTok, which can change or limit what they share with us.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount we paid you, or that was payable to you, in the twelve months before the claim. None of this limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury we cause by negligence, for deliberate wrongdoing or gross negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

15. Suspension and leaving

You can stop at any time. You can remove our access to your TikTok account in TikTok's own settings, and you can email us to disconnect it or to close your account. Earnings that are already payable will still be paid.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or exposes us or a Promoter to legal risk. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Sections 7, 12, 14 and 17 still apply after an account is closed.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the program changes. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or on your dashboard at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless the law or a safety issue requires it sooner. Changes never apply to views you have already earned on. If you do not agree to a change, you can leave before it takes effect.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and the courts of Romania can hear any dispute. This does not take away any protection given to you by the law of the country where you live, or any right you have to bring a claim there.

If part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
